Phew - finally its working - i've lost this post twice so far.
Hi Neil, will do - I will email him now.
Tash, its 56cm (well 55.88cm to be exact)
Xvolx - based in Cardiff but have a good courier.
Toby, yep string and thread of different thickness wrapped all over the dried/sanded white undercoat and then sprayed very lightly from the sides only. I was tempted to wrap it again and do another different colour layer for some 3d effects... but it kind of works as is.Forgot to mention that the bike was originally badged 'Emporer Sport' and came with a '531 butted frame, forks and stays' decal. The original owner told me it was custom built for him (for time trials) by a frame builder in the Guildford area during the '70s.

Sorry for hijacking the thread :-)
The bike really looks ace.
Can i just ask what bottom bracket lenght are you using with that chainset?
Cheers -
• #10
Ile, i think its 127mm but can't sure unless i remove the cranks.
-
• #11
gosh, that's huge :-) the biggest i've ever encountered was 122.5mm. cheers
-
• #12
It's really hard to measure without removing the cranks. I'll have go tomorrow to get an accurate measurement.
-
• #13
Don't bother. It can cause some additional unwanted hasle :-)
It would be more than good if you just roughly measure with the cranks on from mid point of one crank arm to the mid point of the other crank arm. This will defo give a good estimate :-) Cheers -
• #14
Ok, midpoint of crank to midpoint of crank is 118mm (how the feck i got 127 i don't know)
-
• #15
That's what i thought but just wanted to double check :-) All the best

• #16
PRICE DROP: ok folks, it's down to £275, and that's with the brand new cartridge headset fitted. Any one need a bike?
-
• #17
what is your inseam? mine is 81cm, it seems being 56 it will be too big?
-
• #18
The saddle is not adjusted for me in the pics. I wanted to show there's loads of seatpost available for taller folks. I have an 84cm inseam, so I adjust the seat just above the 'x' of the planet-x logo.
-
• #19
ah man i would love to have the stem and handlebar combination, no chance of selling that seperately?
-
• #20
hmmm, i currently run a 54cm, any one have any thought on how tight it would be for me?
-
• #21
could you please tell me the top tube height and length, this is getting interesting.
-
• #22
Standover height I'll have to measure when i get home, but top tube length is definitely 22". Edscoble, sorry the bars and stem were yanked off another bike to take the pic, can't really let them go sorry.
-
• #23
My helpful flatmate has measured for me remotely... standover height is 80.5cm. Might be a bit tight Josh...
