Brazil 3 : USA 2
I feel so sorry for the USA they really really *really *deserved to win this...
o_oAs a Yank, I was a bit bummed to see us lose, but to be honest, I didn't see us winning this one. I was shocked when we were 2-0 up. Still a big day for US soccer. Nice to see we can be competitive in international football.

The quality of American football (soccer - its weird having to do this all the time) is improving rapidly.
I was at a training session for the Seattle Sounders a few months ago, and the standard of coaching was very good. The players also had a short, but very informative nutrition-based training session, which was done throughout the cool down, which was also very good to see.
Former Gooner Freddie Llungberg looked in good condition too. As a Spurs fan though, i had an urge to give him some shit.... -

It's also worth noting that no MSL team has ever been beaten by Premier League opposition. Sure, the games are friendlies and whatever, but I wouldn't characterise the MLS as a 'Mickey Mouse league' (as is done in the press over here). It's not up to par with the major European leagues, but it's getting better.
Speaking of Spurs, it's been a quiet summer so far. Nary a rumour or anything about signings since the whole Arjen Robben (plus about half of Real Madrid) story.

only just saw the match. looked like an exciting game. good tournament for the USA. knocked out the world and euro champs and making brazil play in the final. couple of their players have good vision and movement. too bad that brazil had 4x more.
i bet langdon donovan's price in the transfer market has gone up in the last week
