Ha I'm playing in a few proms this year, not the last night though. One of them is going to be live on BBC2. Fame at last!

Went two years ago thinking I was going to get some culture. Instead I got Terry Wogan, Lesley Garett and Will Young. Worst £50 I've ever spent.
Lineup this year looks fucking awful.
But if you like Barry Manilow, enjoy.

Any takers for this one?
Despite Barry Manilow being in attendance, I do look forward to hearing some Holst whilst sitting in the park all day.

If anyone is heading through to Hyde Park on Saturday keep 'em peeled for an Ulster flag and a Richard The Lionheart standard, underneath them wil be a sozzled me with plenty of gin and picnic goodness.

Chaps and chapettes, I'm apparently the only one interested in this thread but I'll post anyways.
Had a blast at the Proms on Saturday and was the perfect tonic following an arduous week of hill running in Snowdon. Dropped a PB on the Fan Dance so I was happy, the blisters on my feet might suggest otherwise..
The line-up was:
Queen tribute
Rolling Stones tribute
Temptations tribute
Escala
Katherine Jenkins
Barry Manilow (should have heard the scream go up when he came on it was insane!)
Gardar Thor Cortes (absolutely amazing)
BBC Orchestra from the Royal Albert HallAll in all a good day out, and a definite tear jerker when Jerusalem belted out.
Flagpole at half mast, it went to full stretch when Barry came on.
God knows where this thread goes but just wondering if anyone from here will be attending?
I certainly will be, and I look forward to a day of Pimms swilling, flag waving, pomp and circumstance.
Anyone interested, go here, it's a fantastic day out.
