For Sale: 4 good steel F&F for sale

4steel frames, all with forks for sale. All prices include posting in a large box.

• 20 ½ inch pre war Dawes. 531 frame. Resilion cantis, clip H/S cotter BB and cranks. Original paint still showing decals etc
  
  1. 22 ½ inch Raleigh Lenton Marque 111 deluxe. 531. Paint tatty but some original decals & 531 sticker showing.
     
  2. 23 inch Carlton. 531 frame. Early 80’s. some paint damage showing chrome chainstays and some reflective tape.
     
  3. 18 inch Quintana Roo. Built for 650c wheels but runs well with 26 Mtb rims and slicks. Cheap Campag BB and H/S nice Tange H/S

     Selling to finance a cheap 18, 19 or 20 inch road or cross frame and forks. 531 or alloy. 700c wheels WHY? Part ex or swap excellent idea

**Had a look at the Carlton in the sun today.There are 3 top tube mounted cable guides which are all in effect a 5mm tube which are then split by the factory creating two parallel rings from a single braze on. One half of the middle one has been damaged and removed leaving only a single ring. could be tidied up more to be only noticeable if looked for. Also took off all the manky reflective tap which has been there since at least 95. Paint underneath is scabby or has come off with stickers so it does need a respray unless the grot bike is your look.
BB fitting is modern shimano compatible if you are interested.

do you know what the roo is made of and does it seem structurally solid?

Not 100% sure on Roo steel type. Managed to email the company a few years ago and they said it was a good Chro-moly probably Tange but couldn't say which. structurally no probs. Some stone chips showing white under coat thro' red top coat

have you got a picture of the dawes?
