  • Costumes are welcome (if not encouraged), I spoke to Coppithat last night who will be wearing all black and a cream hat, so something like that would be 531.

Newbies are very welcome as it will be a social/research ride so if you know anywhere good, this is the place to show off!

    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

4 pubs- North, East, South, West each less than 3 miles from the toucan.

South will be the royal oak (vauxhall)
East will be O'Neills on Cannon Street
West and North are still up for grabs. -someone suggest and captain a pub please

At 1759 we all meet at the closest pub to home/work.

25.0(0) minutes later I will send a group text and we race across town to the toucan

First team to get there has their first round bought for them by the rest.

From the toucan we can then go to all of the other fantastic pubs mentioned or stay there or, drink guinness punch in soho square.

I dont think this is going to be Bridges ride numbers so it should be easy going.

  • Jonny needs to be on this thread.

  • this ride must happen

i would like to suggest one of my friends Caribbean takeaways for guinness punch. i will have a word with him and get him to work out a deal for us. he has a shop in lewisham , sydenham and new cross so whichever one suits the route.

    irie

  • 10-12 pints of the black stuff, Hoooweee, that'll bake for a fun ride home.

  • No tasting would be complete without the Toucan in Carlisle St.

  • Since I was here for St. Pats and have no other Guinness-friendly ideas.. why not..

Don't worry, couldn't be smaller than the Toucan.

  • Even though I dont actually like Guinness, I may create another Guinness cake especially for this ride.

  • In this thread I want suggestions for the ride

    I propose:
Ride, drink guinness, ride, drink guinness, ride...

  • guinness, ride, guinness, ride, guinness, ride, guinness, ride, guinness, ride, guinness, guinness, guinness, ride, immense dark stool.

count me in btw..29th sounds good, should be around.

  • Guinness Punch

    Ingredients:
    per drink
    12 oz cold Guinness stout
    1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
    1/16 teaspoon cocoa
    1/16 teaspoon allspice
    1/16 teaspoon cinnamon

    Directions:
In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the cocoa, allspice and cinnamon to remove any clumps. Then pour the Guinness into a large cup (larger than you'd think, this will foam) and gently stir in the spiced condensed milk. Serve immediately. Serves one.

    Never had... sounds fucking lush!

  • from a friend who works for Guinness..

" I believe that Mulligan’s of Mayfair has a reputation for being amongst the best Guinness outlets in London"

  • its a shame the guinness brewery is no longer in park royal ,, that would have been such a great stop off point.

  • reads link...heads to Mulligans for lunch

  • fears for shoots' colleagues after a lunch of guinness and oysters

  • fears for the toilets

  • more importantly, Richard Pryor manages Mulligans.
