  • I was cycling home last night, it was quite late, about 10ish going North up Holloway Road. The road was completely clear, so I was in the bus lane when this vehicle comes thundering past me at about 30mph. I don't know what this thing was but it was by far the largest thing I had ever seen on Londons roads. It was perhaps 25 metres long and easily 5 feet wide. And there were two of them! It consisted of a cabin, which was probably 3 metres high and about 10 metres long, attched to it was a flat bed thing with 16 wheels, and all these warnings about swing area and no undertaking and give room etc. I got lucky as it stopped at the next set of lights so I decided to draft it. It was fucking perfect, cos it was so wide and the flatbed so long, I had perfect visibility all round and in front of it. We made everylight all the way to the bottom of Archway Road, flying along at about 27mph with barely any effort. I was hoping the thing would take me all the way up the hill, but it dropped me half way up. Never experienced anything like it before. It was an absolute joy. Ohh, and I saw someone attempt to undertake, which I though a little odd.

Anyone else seen anything like this before?

  • I was expecting this to be another lambo thread

  • worst thing I've ever drafted was a rubbish truck, no idea why I kept going but the speed was compelling, but i was motoring along at 30mph and retching at the same time.

  • Are the transformers films any good?

  • Are the transformers films any good?

if you like robots, yes. If you like a good narrative, no. I've not see the second; it got slatted so badly.

I drafted a skip lorry once. Something fell off it while I was behind. Not doing that again.

Critics hate it but it'll still be entertaining.

  • Well I LOVED Transformers as a kid...? I wouldn't be expecting a great plot, just cool robots.

of course. I loved the first one. I thought it was brilliant.

Then you're going to love it!

  • It's not the cartoon, so no. I had great fun drafting buses all the way home from Pecknarm last night.

  • It was all about the animated transformers movie.

Sings 'you got the touch, you got the powwwwwer!!'

  • i still get ripped by my mum because i used to think it was 'robots in the skies'.

Add if you like Megan Fox to that list too I guess. Not seen them myself but she looks pretty tasty

  • Its far better then the cartoon. Just because you watched it as a child doesn't make it good.

  • What? The cartoon is fucking awsome, I still wach that now. One of my favoret films.

  • transformers or he-man?

  • It was perhaps 25 metres long and easily 5 feet wide.

Was it some kind of giant chopstick?

  • was watching this earlier

    YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

  • Basically if you are impressed by giant robots hitting each other (and I am) both films are works of genius... go see at the imax.

  • I am pretty sure it was one of these fuckers. Though it was only the cabin, rest was empty

    big lorry

  • drafting hippy is easier

  • can we continued to pretend it was Optimus prime?
