Trouble fitting a fixed cog

I've just fitted a fixed cog, but am having trouble with the chain, which doesn't appear to sit correctly on the cog.

What can you recommend I do? It's 16 tooth if that helps.

Is the width of the chain the same as the cog? Sounds like you might have 1/32" chain and a 1/8" cog. If this is the case, either buy a new chain or a new cog.

what cog type is it ? that might help establish what size you are using ?
