messenjah, hyperallah, dfp, aeronaught: i'm looking at you...
fuck that, i did bare mileage today, 8 drops near or beyond the outer ring road, including harborne, bearwood, winson green, handsworth, neachells and perry barr, plus the usual mileage in the city centre... got home too tired even to go to the shop for essential muscle repair agents (i.e. eggs), no way i would even get to kings heath, never mind warwick! by 7.30 i was enjoying a carb-rich plate of spaghetti with cherry tomatoes roasted with garlic, white wine vinegar & black pepper, fresh basil and parmigiano reggiano, and a dribble of extra virgin olive oil that has a very grassy, herby aroma and a peppery finish. so my glycogen reserves are hopefully replenished. however, i fear that i have not consumed sufficient protein throughout the day, so i may pop down the street and get some battered cod from the chippy

fair play to all that came. a pleasant ride punctuated by a beer break for those who'd sensibly come out with food in their bellies.
i'll suggest a few more of these before the nights draw in. i'm thinking: earlier start (maybe 7pm if people can make it), 30ish mile circuit without stopping, culminate at the hare and hounds where others can meet if they want (probably get there around 9 at the latest before it gets dark).
sounds good? any suggestions/modifications?

cracking ride - nice to meet a few people. Got back to Stton a midnight after managing to get some lights for the journey home from my sisters. If I think of anything I'll definately post, but I'm looking forward to the next one.
And see people around for drinks at some point.

i loved every minute of last night. I got to see how Birmingham can rapidly change into a beautiful backdrop for what was a really nice evening of crank turning.
Cheers Dan. Your illuminated guidance with a touch of Jazz was epic.....
Plus it was nice to finally meet and ride with everyone else. -

I want more..... my saddle still feels firmly planted in the holiest of holes.....
Start: Moseley outside Bull's Head 7.30pm
Duration: about 2hrs
Destination: either ride to Leamington/Warwick or a circuit with pub stop towards the end and a 'warm down'/drunk ride back to town.
It's nearly the longest day, and apparently it's going to get warmer any day soon. anyone interested?
