  • I need a biggish, simple, sturdy canvas bag to go on holiday with, the kind of thing you might find in an army surplus store. Only problem is that I can't for the life of me think of where there are any. Anyone got any ideas? Preferably east-ish, and north of the river-ish.

    Cheers!

  • east head down the romford road theres one near east ham

on the cross roads of high street and station road between woodgrange and manor park cemetries

    if you're out that way

  • Not really east, or north... but there is a good Army Surplus store on Walworth rd.
Failing that, surely a camping store is your friend - Kathmandu for example.

  • There's one right next to Warren St tube too... I know it's not East, but I can never remember where things are in the East.

  • vallance road, corner of whitechapel road#
roman road (quite far east, on the left hand side)

No one has ever got around to asking what the average speed would be for a 354 strong flock of seagulls if they were forced to carry the weight of 3 badgers, suspended in a net, for a distance of 16.2 kilometres.

  • With threads on salt, existentialism and Steely Dan I'd say we're pretty much covered..

The fucking search failed to show up an answer to the question.
If you answer it now then we can put this issue to bed and forget it ever happened.

Tynan will want a pictorial answer though.

It's a big one too. I ride past it every time I come in to London's famous London.

  • OMFG, you win a prize.

  • That is brilliant! Reputation added!

EDIT: Just noticed the use of the word "ergo" for bonus points.

  • Assumption two is far too unrealistic.

  • only at very high altitudes does wind resistance become negligable

  • I told you dude, these are Super-Gulls. Jeeez.
