  • hey, what kind of condition are the ultegra spd's in? Do you have the cleats?

    Ta

  • I'm quite interested in the 105 hollowtech stuff, this is not a dibs, I'm just considering things....

  • @joe - Good clean condition, minor scratches only, buttery smooth bearings but no cleats.

@eyebrows - err... OK, consider away, what can I say!?

  • ^ Ah, you re-read the post eh!? hehe...

  • @eyebrows - err... OK, consider away, what can I say!?

    Sorry thinking aloud.
Basically, i've got an old ultegra 172.5 crank on my roadie, (splined interface) and its a bit too big for my legs, and I know that 170 is good.
And I'm trying to work out whether to change it...
i like the idea of hollowtech, its just a question of me getting round to fitting it.

do you have the tools? and would I be able to borrow them at your place? for money/ beer- that way saving me buying them/ using LBS.
the other issue is this would have to be in a weeks time earliest, as exams mean i'm busy till then.

  • Easy to fit (with correct tools) - bring it round I'll do it for you for a beer ;-)

In fact I have a spare (new) Park Tools Hollowtech wrench for sale too now you mention it, bit it's worth chasing and facing the BB when you fit outboard cups anyway.

  • hmmm, I'll let you know tonight- obv not a dib though.
    cheers!

  • want the campag levers.
    can't afford them.

  • Do you want to reconsider your price for the Ergolevers, as you can get them new at Ribble for £96 inc cables. And cables are £22 a set......

  • Actually £97 less a penny and only if you buy today ;-) That said I will do them for £87 including a new cable set. Can't say fairer than that?

  • I'm out, the money needs to go to the geekhouse build up, and the bike works, sorry.

  • whats the deepest drop on the brakes? im looking for a 57mm, could you split, as im interested in just the front :)
@brows - hows the geekhouse going, man there lovely bikes, was it a custom fit?
