The Brooks saddle - what're the 'symptoms' of it? What is it that feels wrong?
-
• #9

Sorry. Brain's not typing clear today :-)
You said:
-not great condition, slightly bent i think, can't really tell.
So I was just wondering what feels wrong about it when it rides to make you think it's slightly bent.
Or did you mean 'can't really tell' as in 'it's not very noticeable'?
-
• #12
oh yeh i get you, well it looks as if it's slightly bent but it doesn't feel like that when ridden.

[haggle] Seeing as that seatpost's a pretty non-standard sizing, it's going to be mighty difficult to offload it, esp at that price.
And if the saddle's bent and beaten...Soooooo...
Give you £30 for the pair? Nice quick sale, like. Everyone's a winner.[/haggle]

• #23
non-standard sizing has the opposite effect!
£40 posted
-
• #24
Damn! Was hoping you'd not spot that fault in my logic.
£35 picked up? (I'm in mcr)

Payments are via Paypal as a gift.
Dib if you like but payment rules.
1974 Gitane Super Pista + Fausto Coppi (columbus) forks + campag BB + campag headset + 26.4 Seat post.
-TT 57 c-c
-531 tubing throughout
-forks are columbus tubing, very light, drilled for a modern allen fitting front brake. Pretty sure they are chrome to the top so if you wanted to strip the white off, you could.
-used condition, chips and scrapes but no dents anywhere.
-to be perfectly honest, I think one of the rear dropouts is slightly bent but I have been riding it for nearly a year as is and it's fine. it's a simple job to fix but unnecessary imho, once you tighten your wheel nuts down they seem to straighten out.
-track frames this big don't come around often!
