I think you have confused the concept of a year with that of a day

apparrently sarcastic anger is masked by the internets.
52 bikes a day seems about right.
These might work, they might not. its a good idea. but not as good as the japanese:
YouTube - tokyo bicycle parking tower
or the Swiss:
YouTube - A New Way to Park Bicycles.. Hang them in a Bike Tree!

That's fucking genius. I want one for the side wall of my house...
Mind you, it is putting on display just how nice your bike is, for anyone who knows what's shiny and what's shit-hot.

Just a long pair of snippers or a pair of ladders ;)
-
• #17
I think it's a great idea. Put some powerful electricity through the suspension cable and then some burning laser beams and nobody will steal a bike again.
-
• #18
I don't think it's a very good idea to have one on your house/flats. People will see your bike up on the wall all the time, and someone will eventually just bring a ladder and nick it. Public places, like University campus's, train station etc. are better locations. Camberwell Art College would probably benefit, for example.
A simpler mechanism might work well, and would proabaly be more cost effective - something along the lines of having a winch, whereby you hoist your bike into place with a chain - rather than having an electrical system that would cost a bomb, and would probably break.
Good idea, needs work (Trust me i'm an engineer)**I am not an engineer.

Easily done. A day in Balki's life is like a year in a normal person's.

if thieves are willing to drag around an angle grinder or jaws of life, they're resourceful enough to find a ladder. bad idea. i'd never trust my bike to one of those.

Would love to see a ton of bikes hanging from the side of a building.
