Sounds like a horrible thing to come across. Were there any witnesses that you knew of?
There is a CCTV camera pointing down Wentworth Street and what looks possibly like another one/three pointing the other way, but can't see anything covering commercial road.

good for you for stopping and giving a shit hun, sadly some people forget to do the right thing. (the driver not you)

FC. hope the rider is ok now.

well done mate. justice would have been him jumping back in his car when nobody was looking and then being unable to start it......... you calmly walking towards the car rolling your sleeves up, putting your glasses in your pocket up and asking him
"where you going?"
god speed to the rider.

I keep telling myself that my first move after any accident needs to to be to photograph numberplates - before I do anything else.

ah totally nuts. hope the guy was okay.

Forgot to say, hope the rider is ok. Hopefully just concussion and bruises.
Shitty thing for the driver to do to protect his no-claims. Hopefully there is CCTV.

Thats disgusting! hope all those that saw realised how pathetic the driver was and will side with the cyclist a little more often.
Hope the damage isn't serious.

It makes your heart sink every time you come across an event where people just treat the streets of London as a place where they can evade responsibility. You really want to have more faith in the public (and the public realm) than that!

yeah there is more and more hit and run.
more and more people cannot afford to drive but do it anyway.
i have made the point on here before about the car manufacturers etc flooding our community with danger.
i wonder if mccarthey and edscoble are gonna comment ?
i hope the injured guy makes a full recovery.
and well done to multi grooves for stopping and helping etc.

Do lay off Michael, Phil--I disagree with him on this point, as well, but there's a thread where that came up, and I don't think it's fair to bring it up, as if his opinion had anything to do with it, in a totally unrelated thread about a hit-and-run (which I'm sure Michael would be the first to condemn, too).

what the fuck you expect me to said? "well done for running away from the scene of crime?!" sod off.
I do hope the cyclists turn out to be fine, it's very scary to heard about him collapsing especially in risk of concussion, fucking cowardly cunt of a driver thought).

Another one too due to polices not using sirens (according to the link)
On Sunday night a man in his 40s was knocked off his bike by another police patrol car in Catherine Wheel Road in Brentford, west London. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The police vehicle was answering an emergency call and the Met said the car had its blue lights on but did not sound its siren.
I was running late for a job on Friday when I found a cyclist (bloke about 40 with dark hair slightly greying around the edges) slumped on the floor on the corner of Commercial Street and Wentworth Street with his bike rested up behind him. He was a little bloodied and dazed. I'm talking to him trying to keep him conscious. I asked the people around who was responsible and they point out some Asian dude with a black Focus just stood there watching. Next thing his (the hit cyclist) eyes roll back into his head and he passes out. I and the folk around begin to shit it. Not sure about moving him into the recovery position but he does come back round. I look over to see where the driver is; he and the car are gone. I got back on my bike to try see if I could find him as there's a fair amount of traffic around plus one of the people around was a first aider, sadly I couldn't find the cunt. I don't know how the rider got on.
