even second hand?
hiring one would have been about £50 anyway...
it does not pay to be lazy!

If you have a front wheel, I have a geared 60cm Trek SLR in Shepherds Bush. Could do with a good clean, mind.

you're right, this is retarded!
I have two bikes in pieces, one to be built up geared (24" 1970s holdsworth), one to be built up singlespeed (25+" 1980s Nigel Dean). they're in pieces as i was going to get them to armourtex.
problem is I am supposed to be doing the blenheim triathlon (for which neither bike was particularly suitable anyway, but was going to use the holdsworth). IT'S 6 DAYS AWAY and i don't have a bike!
i don't have time to rebuild either of them, or all the tools, and i don't want to bodge and bugger the frames.
i thought about hiring from triandrun, i've left it too late.
i am now thinking about buying a 2nd hand bike this week (£500 max) and then selling it next week and trying to recover as much as possible! it's retarded, but that's what comes from being so disorganised. clearly i won't be setting any course records...
is anyone selling a large geared bike/does anyone have any other suggestions/know of anywhere else that hires bikes/could rebuild my bike asap...?
thank you, forum ;)
