  • Hey guys,
Im not sure what hubs to get at the moment there both very similarly priced £130ish, im not sure which to go for, i will be using them for commuting and just general cycle riders.

    Thanks,
    Will

  • mack, i reckon, but a bit more difficult to get.

  • Ah, well active life logistics have them stocked at the moment so i will get them from there, i prefer MACKs aesthetics anyway, so im glad to hear they are better in quality :)

  • i would go goldtec

  • mack if you wanna go fancy, goldtec if you want to ride your bike

  • Oh really! oh ok goldtecs it is then!

  • i would like to add my vote for goldtecs- uk built, solid mofos.

  • goldtec if you wanna go fancy, mack if you want to ride your bike

my word against maxcrowe's, what you going to do now? your a bit easily swayed mate maybe do some googling and searching?

  • just look at that lockring ! for me that's the clincher. awesome

  • ^ nice work.
    Also what about Gran Compes?

  • rocker....

  • was that to me or dylan? please be more specific aleksi ;)

  • that green Gran compe would go so nicely with the frame. . plus its cheaper

  • but definitely a little bit of this as well

  • i want to know about the life of the hub and bearings really :)

  • I'd go Gran Compes, but then I have a pathological hatred of allen key hub fittings, especially with cheese washers.

  • Er i dunno, i heard that Goldtecs are used by most couriers, then i thought well why dont i ask here as most london couriers are on here, then i heard mack have a good lockring and have lovely bearings

I need to quote this just in case in a years time your still on here and remember you past, decide to go back to it and decide to delete stuff like this

  • why?

  • you will understand in a years time, maybe sooner

its my 1 year anniversary in less than a month and im already going through all my posts looking for things to 'edit'

  • hehe, is it cause i believed a load crap?

  • I'd go Gran Compes, but then I have a pathological hatred of allen key hub fittings, especially with cheese washers.

    you have a point there...
i have a rear White Industries with an allen key axle...
doesn't do it for me you just can't get it tight like you can with bolts.

  • @dylan - not even big motherfucking allen keys?

  • it will be a 6mm allen key bolt on the hubs so if you try to use a 20mm allen key it wont work unless you inverse shim it
