Oliver Shick, and a load of people from CTC etc, suggested to the DfT that a game about hitting children on the head with a large wooden mallet may not have been entirely appropriate. They defended their position, but pulled the game anyway. Check the helmets thread for more on this.

As I said to Sparky in a PM a bit earlier, I think it was just a case of lots of people complaining quickly. They also claimed that the NSPCC had declared themselves happy with it, but it turns out that they actually objected quite strongly.
It's still very much worth writing in about the rest of the 'Tales of the Road' site, as it is certainly full of highly questionable material, although none as offensive as that game.
Oh, and TSK, do try to spell my name right, or I'll come round and knock your noggin. ;)

Does anybody have the link for the flash game where you had to hit the adults in the wallet, like Whack-a-Mole? The one the Government made for that campaign.
I've been searching everywhere, but I can't find it.
