touring car racing / rallycompeted against the big boys and still came out on top

this rules!
it kinda feels like cars sales are plummeting so they start making bikeslike this:
bike company starts adding motors= motor bikes + some more wheels = car company
sit back for a few years till imminent climate crisis and global recession and watch the pattern fall back the other waysorry im not to articulate today

crying shame isn't it? Since it come from an actual company', no doubt they'll recieved a lots of unipack rider demanding money back after it break.
ah well, they'll have to learn the hard way not to choose the easy option.

Oh sweet mother of god.

Why on earth have they set their sights so low? Since they are trading on a brand with racing heritage and reputation for quality, why aim straight for the bottom end of shitdom?
Surely even the biggest hipster fule knows that £300 bike is going to be a teensy weensy bit crap.
Just look at the price of some basic but usable wheels, bars saddle, post, stem, cranks etc, add it up take it away from £300 take away some profit and ask yourself how good is £50 frame going to be?Poor buggers must be desperate.

hah, I wrote a lengthy comment about choosing that specific bike, about how poorly constructed it is and it's part are prone to breaking, referring it to the even cheaper Unipack.
they removed that entire post that has the picture.

it's just a standard black unipack with silver wheel but with a bullhorn bar, literally look like a black Charge Plug

*Each frame will be numbered and each bike will be issued with a card that details the purchase and allows customers services to log any queries or problems.
*If it is a unipack customer services are goin to be inundated..
"My chain snapped, what should I do?"
"There are strange noises coming from my bottom bracket, is that something to worry about?"
"My wheels are bent, can you help?" etc.
If that's what the cooper brand has come to that's tragic. I lusted after a proper John Cooper cooper as a teenager and they made some really nice bits. Why do all these brands have to be brought to shit?

Is that the best the dude at the PR company could come up with?!

Mini Coopers were the bollox. My mate had a 1275GTs Cooper. We took the whole thing apart in his kitchen one summer.
If I have a daughter, the poor thing is gonna be called Mini (guess my surname)
Imagine seeing those Foxton twats cycling around Shoreditch on their bikes.
