Both sound bloody ideal.
If you see a suspicious sort filming you, don't call the police.
Unless it's not me in which case do.re: sound design - fancy recording some skids? I've got sod all in terms of mics - in fact I think the only gear I'll have this weekend is an XL2 and a tripod I'm afraid unless I can blag something better from work.

I've only got a handheld Tascam DR-07 work gave me, though could rope a colleague in who's got all our high end shit (technical term). Newbie so let me know here and when and I'll try to make it.
Happy Friday.
Basically a mate that works for the BFI called me this morning asking if I wanted to enter this competition:
http://www.bfi.org.uk/whatson/bfi_southbank/events/future_film_institute/the_bfi_and_story_of_london_are_calling_all_young_filmmak
They've had to extend the upper age limit to 25 as apparently there haven't been a lot of entries so far hence him calling around to see if he can drum up support.
The brief is "show the pace and vibrancy of london in under 3 minutes".
Unfortunately they've got a deadline of the 29th so I'm thinking of a burst of effort this weekend. No cash involved as a prize but it might be a laugh and the winner gets the Ronnie Scott's band to record a soundtrack for it and then gets it archived in the BFI National Archive.
At this stage all I'm thinking of is a moving image version of the Bike Porn thread and thought I'd ask around here if anyone's game to go out and film/be filmed on their bikes in the sun over the weekend.
Thoughts?
