Armadillos are shite... I know... I've got two of them on my bike... :) It's not too bad as a back tyre but it's fuckin' slippy in the wet so it is so it is!! Vittorias for my next purchase... Or some fancy pants Gran-Compe

Just finished a year on Bonty Hardcases - plenty of life left, seem to last forever. Swapped out to Michelin Krylion Carbons for spring - these things rooooooooccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkk...

I'm running the Maxxis and they seem very good, very much better than the vittoria diamanté pro lights that came on the bike.

I think I've been riding the pair of Bontys I have fitted for 18 months now and they've hardly worn. Not the smoothest ride but as I'm only using them to mince around London on my fixie bike, they'll do. Shame they don't come in pretty colours mind. ;p

Hernia in sidewall after 6wks, heard that's happened to a few other people... Shame, it was a good tyre 'til that happened... TFG wouldn't give me my money back and I'm not prepared to spunk £30+ on another one...

How does the Maxxis grip compare to Gatorskins? Thinking of trying them next.

Maxxis are the best out there...if i could get them in 650 too i'd have them on all 3 track bikes....amazing, predictable grip in wet or dry.

+1 I had one of those on the back during the epic snow. I also find them nice and easy to get on and off, after almost breaking my thumbs on my rubinos

Rubinos are easy on. gee, clefty, what are ya, some kind of girl? ;P

IMO nothing is better for its combination of grip, supple ride and maximum puncture protection.
