Had a go at welding aluminium, very very satisfying - but i think for building bikes you need a jig to keep everything straight and true whilst you build it. Did a bit of brazing too could see that being addictive. - Going to take a look at these links too... mmm technical drawings!

Those are some fun links. I love building things. Back in the States where I could have a garage as a workshop I was kitted out for all kinds of woodwork, cabinet making, light welding etc.
The results I achieved have convinced me not to pursue frame building. I love building things, but I wouldn't trust their integrity.

Can anyone remember the thread for that fella on LFGSS who built his own frame. Wasn't too long ago and I remember he did a really great job.
Wanted to have a read of it again. -

Chris Csrah built his frame I think.

This chap had his name decal-ed on the frame, and wrote a report with pics about it on the forum.
Was probably about 3 months ago. Have searched but can't find it.
Maybe I was having cycling dreams again, must tell my shrink. -

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1640002012/the-jiggernaut-bringing-bicycle-frame-building-toVery cool! I started a small frame building shop with some friends back in the early '90s. We saved for months to buy our first 'proper' jig, a huge $3000 Henry James beast. That project seems like it could move frame building to the back garden shed.

I am wanting to start practicing brazing lugs but apart from ceeway i couldn't find any suppliers for tubing. -
