Wanted: Soft Shell Jacket L/XL

Hey,

Wondering if anyone has a jacket kicking about. Would prefer black, but please post and I will consider. Something that looks like below link, not to thin like a windbreaker but a proper soft shell jacket. Anyone go to an clearance sales and pick on up that does fit ?

Are you looking specifically for a waterproof soft shell, or more of a windproof, showerproof type thing, the sort that'll keep you warm but you'll still get wet if it's pissing down?

If the latter, you could do worse than look in Aldi (various different colours, £16.99), or I've got a 2007 version of the Gore Phantom (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Gore_Phantom_Windproof_Jacket/5360030077/ is the current model). Not worn it for a year or so, size L, decent condition but obviously has ben worn, and, er, orange. Wouldn't take a huge amount to persuade me it was better in your life than mine.

Ah, something more along the lines of the Gore that you posted a link to. Might be a bit snug but I think i can tell myself orange is thinning :).

still looking. probably for a XL one 42" + chest anyone ?

Might be an idea to stop looking for soft shells if you want something fully waterproof as that's not really what they are designed to do (yes you can get some fully taped waterproof soft shells but it's not the norm).

can do a clear race cape jacket @ Westies on Thurs, now that ***will ***keep you dry. And its for
big(ger) boys!
