  • Sheeeeiiit.

    Season 4 is my favourite.

  • I love garden wire, the stuff with the plastic coating which you can bend into any shape.

    That's my favourite wire.

  • I love the wire because:

    • nobody in it is perfect
    • nothing ever gets resolved
  • Very good. Im gona buy the DVD box set, bury it in a time capsule until I forget what happens in it, then it will be like watching it for the first time again.

  • I view THE WIRE as a kind of test. Is it possible that enough people say how GREAT something is, that I might think its great as well?

The answer (Survey Says!!), is No.

I watched a few episodes, and don't think its f*cking "cutting edge" at all.

Hill Street Blues was better, and thats old.

Honestly? I can't think of anything more over-rated on the tube.

  • GA2G, to be honest it does start off slow and I think to really appreciate it you have to soldier through and watch at least the whole first series..

The show is made such that each series is a 'novel' so dipping in and watching a couple of episodes isn't going to cut it. That's one of the differences it has with a lot of other TV shows and one of the reasons why people love it so much.

I think it probably is overrated but it is still an absolutely amazing TV show.

First 4 episodes are a bit crap and then it gets going.

Mainly though I watch it for the characters in the show, soo many good ones and they just aren't developed properly until towards the end of the first season.

  • It's good, but owes it all to Homicide: Life on the Street - creator, writers, cast, location. And that wasn't overrated.

  • It ain't nothin' but a thing...

  • ?

  • That is awesome.. I want to go watch tron now

  • courier from brum [at least that's what he claimed] at object's flatwarming...

  • Omar is the best character in the wire IMO!

    couldn't agree more...
his robbing in the hood made for a great modern day robin hood

  • He's a good character who sticks to his moral code (even if he does some horrible things)..

Bodie and Freeman are my favourite characters

  • don't know if you could really call him a modern day robin hood, doesn't really give to the poor, but he was definately robbing da hood.

More like a lone ranger type.

  • "If you come at the GA2G, you better not miss"

  • He's a good character who sticks to his moral code (even if he does some horrible things)..

"I got the shotgun, you got the briefcase"

YouTube - I got the shotgun, you got the briefcase

  • Forgot to mention that I really like Dennis 'Cutty' Wise too..

  • one of the writers on the wire is being interviewed on bbc five live just after 15.00hrs

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/

among the episodes he wrote was hamsterdam.

    enjoy y'all.
