I love garden wire, the stuff with the plastic coating which you can bend into any shape.
That's my favourite wire.

I love the wire because:
- nobody in it is perfect
- nothing ever gets resolved

I view THE WIRE as a kind of test. Is it possible that enough people say how GREAT something is, that I might think its great as well?
The answer (Survey Says!!), is No.
I watched a few episodes, and don't think its f*cking "cutting edge" at all.
Hill Street Blues was better, and thats old.
Honestly? I can't think of anything more over-rated on the tube.

GA2G, to be honest it does start off slow and I think to really appreciate it you have to soldier through and watch at least the whole first series..
The show is made such that each series is a 'novel' so dipping in and watching a couple of episodes isn't going to cut it. That's one of the differences it has with a lot of other TV shows and one of the reasons why people love it so much.
I think it probably is overrated but it is still an absolutely amazing TV show.

First 4 episodes are a bit crap and then it gets going.
Mainly though I watch it for the characters in the show, soo many good ones and they just aren't developed properly until towards the end of the first season.

It's good, but owes it all to Homicide: Life on the Street - creator, writers, cast, location. And that wasn't overrated.

couldn't agree more...
his robbing in the hood made for a great modern day robin hood -

He's a good character who sticks to his moral code (even if he does some horrible things)..
Bodie and Freeman are my favourite characters

don't know if you could really call him a modern day robin hood, doesn't really give to the poor, but he was definately robbing da hood.
More like a lone ranger type.
