Cambridge FG Rowing Team?

I am about to start a rowing course at city rowing club, and I was thinking (and I've been told that cyclists are good rowers, so, wouldn't Fixers be even better (strong legs wise)) should we start a rowing club (if we can get hold of/ bodge a boat for little money) my smallest sister rows in one that is held together with gaffer tape...

surely all you need to do is join an RC, get a cox qualified and then row to your hearts content.

In all seriousness though it was fun and I kick myself for not continuing (that and swimming).

i would never be able to deal with the fact that there is always a cunt (instructor) on the shore riding a bike with ease at the same speed while you're sweating your tits off.

id be up if there was like a little open day for random groups of people (business men, bus drivers, doctors) to come and compete against other groups :)

Eddie you crack me up ! I think you should start soliciting bus drivers and the odd business man to your fabulous plan . Bunting and cup cakes would also feature in this brave venture ?

I used to row at school, good fun but HARD. Wouldn't mind having a go again but really not up for all the training. Happy to shout at people from the bank!

Rowing is fun but very hard work.....particularly rowing in sync...that is bloody hard.....but i would be up for it.

I have done a bit cough cough of rowing and would happily lend the spattering of knowledge that I have out to people if they want...

I row at City, or at least am still a member, not rowed since my car accident..
