  • going through the city around 4pm Lower Thames street and ever fucker and his scooter was driving up bikeLanes!! even some maniac on a Ducati going really fast shooting up the inside of me.
Have you notice this happening recently?

  • couple of months ago I think?

  • I'm starting to hate it now that motorcyclists seemed to speed past you at 30-40mph on the bus lane in rush hours.

  • I'm not too fussed about it except for the bloody silent electric scooters, they scare the shit out of me when they come past.

  • hah! electric scooter isn't a problem really, just keep looking back.

It's the fact they're going 35-40mph on a bus lane that bother me, when they're doing 15-20 it's perfectly fine.

  • bus lanes i kind of expect, But in a CycleLane!? guess it surprised me out of my cleets

  • The OP is talking about bike lanes not bus lanes. The one on Lower Thames is especially bad for it; maybe because the traffic is so congested there.

  • is the road quite narrow on Lower Thames?

  • Is it not possible to take up the whole bike lane on this road? Motos would soon stop bothering if they kept getting stuck behind cyclists.

  • two lanes with a cyclelane on the inside.. enough room for 1bike

  • @ Ed Not really, just a horrible, shitty road (and scene of an HGV fatality last year) which is always busy.

  • two lanes with a cyclelane on the inside.. enough room for 1bike

    what am I looking at? you'll need to press 'link' on the top right side of the map in order to show us the map;

  • ahh it didnt work =/ it was a google map streetview of lower thames street

  • So, from that street view of Lower Thames Street, if you were riding in the middle of the cycle lane, to my eyes a motorbike couldn't pass you. So, ride in the bike lane and they will need to overtake by using a normal lane. Problem solved. If they are in front of you already either wait for them to go or pass them. Problem solved.

  • I personally brandish hippys chainwhip as a weapon against all motorcyclists.
    Its very effective.

  • When he's in town, I swing eyebrows at all other vehicles, trouble-makers or not. Everyone has sinned. They all need their punishment. It's a strain on my back but I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Zap!
    Kapow!
    Kablamo!

  • i ride down the road on my commute in the mornings, its a pain in the arse, and its not so much that they are there, but they're holding me up.

So i started abusing one yesterday when he couldn't fit between a lorry and the pavement, he pulled out the way and let me through, small victories ladies, thats what its all about.

  • Motorcyclists doing 15-20mph should be ashamed of themselves.

On the plus side of Motorbikes in bus lanes, I did a cracking wheelie in the bus lane on waterloo bridge the other day....3rd gear, no clutch. Lovely.

    No kittens were injured.

  • silly people, everyone knows bike lanes can be used by pedestrians, motorcycles, buses, taxis and cars.

  • That road is terrible. I try and avoid it. You can't filter down the middle (which is why motorbikes go down the cycle lane) and the cycle lane is too narrow, and often flooded, obstructed by workmen or full of coaches and trucks. And there's a construction site down it.

Are they still digging it up? They were replacing all the water mains last time I rode down there. It was a nightmare.

  • i was wondering what the deal is with drivers stopping in the green bike lanes on junctions, it seems that they seem too have complete disregard for these lanes. The other morning on old street a van had stopped on the green lane making it impossible to pass.I knocked on the window of the van too point this out as was and was politely told too fuck off!!. Do the rules of the road take this as seriously as stopping or driving in a red zone. The fact that motorist feel the need to violate our space has resulted in recent casualties of drivers turning left/right at junctions and failing to give cyclist enough space.

  • Don't let it bother you, ASL are a poorly thought out bicycle lane.

just either wait in line, or just wait a little in front of the car if you need to.

best to relax and enjoy riding your bike, no used getting all worked up and let it ruin your journery just because of this.

Reminds me of this classic game. Used to love this.
I remmember being able to get a Chain and start whipping your fellow racers.

@ 1:04 someone actually pulls out a chain HA.
Steal the chain, chain whip the cunts!

  • Noticed more motorbikes, scooters & taxis using CS8 in heavy traffic westbound between Vauxhall & Chelsea bridge - surely this is not permitted?
