The video of the monster trucks on that site is wicked.

That was indeed an amazing video Dan, at some points I was really struggling to tell if it was still time delay footage or if someone had slipped in a stop motion animation

My friends organising this so super keen to get this some publicity. Should be a good day out so if your not up to anything just swing by.

Sorry for the shameless plugging but a friend of mine is running the Streetffest event taking place on, Sunday 24th of May, so i thought i'd try and rustle up some interest to anyone at a loose end on that day.
For more info check out http://www.streetfest.net/
Tickets are a fiver and though not Fixed specific should provide hours of entertainment so why not come along.
I'm also aware that it clashes with the LFGSS Track session but what better way to enjoy your bank holiday weekend then a good track session followed by a chillaxing (sorry for my Hipster jargon) session at Streetfest!
Ok Shameless plug over!

This effect is starting to get used a lot. There was a tutorial on how to fake the tiny depth of field in digital arts magazine a few months back.
Im pretty sure that it was all stop motion with models....

awesome vid, if thats been done with models/stop motion it must have taken ages, looks really good, although I would hazard a guess that is a combination of animation, stop motion and VFX

it's not stop motion; time delay film/photography with a tilt-shift lens...

Tilt shift lenses are awesome, but so damn expensive, they get used for a lot of architectural photography and can create some cool effects for landscape stuff as well.

Should think i'm up for going to this!

Totally agree. Shame they're so expensive, but the results are just so sexy...

I would check on the website, contact the promoters.
They got a 32 foot half pipe, UK Vs Portugal graffiti wars, plus live visual artists (inc Andy Seize, whose art work was featured in Multi Grooves vol2). If it's anything as good as last year, it will be really nice summah vibes.
