Place for the night in June

A few of you might remember me from last August when I want for a blast around town with a few of you. I'm cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in June with a mate and I was wondering if we could crash for the night with someone. Hexam is one of our planned stops and I know a few of you live there. If we've got no luck there we'd be happy to get ourselves into Newcastle if there are two beds/sofas going. I'll bring some glasgowfgss stickers and spokecards as payment.

It's just shy of 1000 miles in total and we're planning on doing it in 9 days. Quite a high mileage I know. We've got finals right now too so we're not exactly getting much training in.

Sounds great. We're not adversed to sleeping in a shit hole. We lived near Middlesbrough last year.

Good on ya mate - was it you said you might be coming to med school here next year? I also have a spare room in Newcastle, depending on when in June you're coming by.

We'll be arriving in Newcastle on the 16th of June. We'll be getting there at about 7:00pm(ish) and we'll be pretty exhausted and wanting a shower and a massive bowl of pasta. We're travelling light so wont have sleeping bags. In the morning we'll be expecting to leave by 9:00am but can be out earlier if our host has work to go to.

Any of the previous offers still standing?

ps. We'll obviously have two bikes with us that we'd need stored for the night.

offer stands, but with severely limited amenities-
don't have very luxurious/complete bedding for the futons,
and as of yet, don't have gas for cooking (out of town, failed to set it up beforehand). spot is pretty accessible to all sorts of food.

the others might know where you'll find good pasta, in case i'm still without primitive cooking amenities at that point

Sorry for not checking back here. I've just realised that it's the 17th that we'll be in Newcastle. I've emailed and PMd squeasel with some updated info but if we're not able to stay there I'll be onto you markoner if your offer still stands. I'm just packing some spoke cards and stickers now but I don't know if they'll make the final cut for the panniers.
