• OK, this doesn't even count as an epic fail, as an epic fail at least involves some trying, which clearly didn't take place here at all:

It's not as if this is unusual, but it's precisely because it's not unusual that it's so annoying that this piss actually gets 'performed' in public.

The article is actually less worth reading than some of the comments below that people have put a lot of effort into, and no prizes for guessing what the deleted comments were saying ...

  • my initial response to this was that it's total shit and that Nobo should burn (my standard response to U2 in fact), but i just had a listen on youtube and it's quite a good poem in my humble opinion. hmmm, bummer.

  • "Why does Bono always turn up championing things with a thousand times more artistic merit than he can claim? As if by association he can somehow claw himself some credibility beyond the mire of mediocrity that represents his achievements in the artistic realm? I've seen him talk on documentaries for Bjork, Bukowski, Radiohead, Frida, Jeff Buckley, Van Gogh... fuck, why bother - the list is endless. I'd bet an eye ball on my theory that they'd never dream of appearing in a documentary about him."

    ha, so true.

  • Yeah, I hate Bono too, but it must be said that the little of the poem that is printed above certainly exceeds in creativity U2's output over the last few years.

    Ahhmen brother!

I fucking hate Bono and as i have lost faith in football i am going to spend today mostly camped in this thread! great find Mr Schick!

Yes, I bet that appearing in a documentary on Bono is pretty much the last thing on the minds of the late Charles Bukowski, Frida Kahlo, Jeff Buckley, or Vincent Van Gogh. If you ask me, they just haven't got their priorities sorted.

  • i knew you'd pick up on that!

Nothing new there then ! :~]

  • Hhaha..."Sunday Bloody Sunday. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think Sunday, BLOODY Sunday!"
