Wanted: Shimano 600 arabesque or AX anything

Hey,
Just wondered if anyone had any vintage shimano 600 arabesque or AX parts such as pretty much all the drivechain components and seatpost? not looking for gear changers as of yet but if anyone has any i would like to know :)

I have a chrome 600 rear mech as new, any good? I have no idea on vintage though, I'm guessing old as I've not seen the like of it before......pm with an e-mail address if you want a pic please

I have Arabesque cranks, front and rear derailleurs and downtube shifters lying around somewhere. If you're interested I can dig them out and work out a price when I get a chance

If all that falls through, I'm picking up a bike with NOS 600 arabesque groupset on the 16th, but am probably just going to fit all my old kit so will be looking to pass it along.

one of the last ones if frame number close to 6184, cause company went bust around 1979 august, post some pics when it arrives and keep 600 groupset in the cupboard!!!

frame number is 6209 so I guess it's a pretty late one - thanks for the info! what parts would you fit it with, if keeping 600 off?

I saw a pair of 600 calipers in Edwardes, cabinet straight ahead when you walk in at the bottom.

IMO period correct campy record strada or gran sport groupset would look awesome if you get hold of it...

OK, to resurrect this thread i have a want list :)
my friend wants to get a full 600 gruppo (Arabesque preferably or anything that looks old school)
Cranks Double chainring
Levers and calipers

and hes in the market for a wheelset (£50 - £60) 5 speed block

Shimano 600 Arabesque front and rear mechs and pair of downtube shift levers, all good and working.

Or, even rarer and complete gruppo, Shimano Golden Arrow (original 105) front and rear mechs, downtube shifters, pair of brake calipers, and a pair of hubs which take/have a 6spd cassette.

No cranks or brake levers however.

Hmmm sounds interesting, could they take a 5 speed block? and how deep is the drop on the calipers? (need to reach 700c wheels in 27" frame unless i build up wheels from those hubs for my mate, he needs new ones his bearings are very crunchy. . .) could you take a few pictures please :)

I also have quite a bit of Shimano 600 Arabesque parts and some Golden Arrow 105 . I have NOS BBs for the 105 Golden Arrow. I will need to check exactly what I have.

Ah nice hilary :) i know i can always count on you :) you got any 27" wheels with 5 speed blocks (cheaper the better) and a front 27" i think his top priorities are brakes and new wheels
