I picked up a Record Mavic build from the jumble on Saturday, the hub needs regreasing.
I was wondering if anyone knew whether there was a special procedure for the older style Campag record hubs. They have a grease hole in the middle of the hub covered up with a retaining clip and then it seems two grease hole one on each side of the hub.
It strikes me that it was maybe designed so you can pump grease into the central hole until you see clean grease coming out of the edge holes? This seems sensible because I would like to avoid taking the hub apart to re-grease, setting them back up afterwards is not my strong point.
Anyone done this before?
