For Sale: A couple of wheelsets

Okay, I've just bought myself a new road bike and have a couple of fixed builds on the go, so I've gotta get rid of some stuff, just put a load of bits on ebay, but thought I'd offer these here first.

Wheelset 1** A set of Mavic Ellipses**

While these are well used, they're still in pretty good condition, wheels are true, no damage to rims and cog and lockring threads are perfect (the rear wheel is fixed/fixed). I used these single speed for a bit before going fixed, so the braking surface on the rear isn't virgin and is marked, nothing serious, but definitely not unmarked. De-stickered the rear wheels as I preferred it stealthy and unbranded, but didn't get round to doing the front. Got various fixed cogs you could have to go with this, but don't think I've got a spare lock-ring. Looking for £120, sorry, but not really willing to post these, I'd need a lot of convincing to do so.

Wheelset 2** A set of Campag Track Wheels - Tubs**

A pair of 36 hole Campag Record hubs laced to Mavic GP4 rims, fitted with tubs, but they're pretty perished and really need replacing. Front hub is a quick release. Comes with lockring and again I've got a variety of cogs you could choose from. Hubs are nice, spokes a serviceable, but a bit rusty in places, rims are good and wheels are true. If I was keeping these I'd probably cut the hubs out, polish them up and rebuild them into a new set of wheels, I've got a new set of tubular rims the buyer can have to go with these. If no-one buys em, I'll probably just cut the hubs out, polish them and stick em on ebay. Again, looking for £120 for these and again loathe to post them.

They are still available and the tubs are included, though they're in a pretty perished state. I have a bag of used tubulars, in varying conditions, that you'd be welcome to have with the wheels if you wanted them :)

so where are you with the Mavics please? Sold/not sold/pending money/whole dibs in/whole dibs out/shake it all about?

Sorry for the lack of update, my father passed away on Wednesday, so been having a bit of a difficult week. Both wheelsets are still available. I'm going to try and get to Peter Carter's jumble sale for 11.00ish, so if anyone who's going wants either set or anyone who could meet up later before 4.00ish drop me a pm before 10.00 a.m. with a contact number, so I can call you to arrange to meet, and I'll bring them along.

Not going to bring them if no-one's said they want them as I'm meeting people later and don't want to be dragging along a pair of wheels. Might also be able to meet tomorrow. If these aren't gone by Sunday evening I'm going to stick them on ebay, just got to start moving more of my excess bits, hope everyone understands.

Getting my head around the new classified rules, as the Ellipses are now sold and the Campag wheelset is going on ebay, I'm closing the thread. Hope I've got this right :)
