  • So with Bos gone, the track coach out on his ear after the olympics, the Dutch have begun testing some new parts out..

    it's all about these pedals:

    and BMX coach for the track team:

  • actually the chappy in the dapper cappy is Bas De Bever, head coach. doing track and BMX

    they have also employed two separate track coaches,one for sprint,one for endurance, Fredrique Magne, and Robbert Slippens.

    I presume the rider in that pic is a BMX'er trying out track, hence his choice of footwear and pedal. And tattoos, overdeveloped upper body compared to his legs, deffo a BMX'er. bunch of losers ! ;)

    Maybe practicing standing starts on SPDs teaches perfect technique by punishing any twisting of the foot with a face plant.

    Hmmm Bas de Bever was a great BMX and MTB Dual slalom racer in his day...could be good for the track, after that is what Jamie Staff did, and Shanaze Reed, so the power will be there, just not prolonged power.....imho
