nowt to do with the straps Kman but those 'enter the bandwagon' mixes are ace
who does the Bowie/milkshake mashup?

Condor had some MKS for £40-ish a while back... I love mine, been using them for well over a year now...

I use white Toshi's on the Watanabe, pretty shit tbh. An absolute cunt to get on(had to cut and taper the ends), very stiff and only just started to soften up now after 9months of use and the metal clasps are annoyingly rattley

Odge straps FTW.
£30. -

To be honest, it's worth getting those if you want it to last for a while, the MKA Alpha is £75 elsewhere, but I can't remember where I saw that price.

I remember 14 bikes co have their own strap, worth asking?

Odge straps FTW.
£30.+1 My Somas were shit and kept stretching all the time, Odges straps are really decent quality, and have been really good so far, I hardly ever have to re-tighten them.

£30.Pretty sure they are the Odge Straps^, don't know of them doing any others under their brand or anything.

Yep 14's are Odge's straps. Got a pair the other day and they're pretty sweet the buckles arent all that but the leather is tough as. Odge told me he used the same sort of leather as brooks saddles as opposed to the split grain leather in normal straps. They were the biggest bastard to get through the pedals but they're solid..

Blimey, how long did it take you to put that lot up?!?!? I'd have a panic attack if I ever contemplated doing that with my 45s... ;]

£90 is a bit much yeah, used to be about £60-70 which was alright (and then Condor came and sell them for £44 each).
2nd hand still have life in them if you look in ebay.

I've got a pair of the cheap doubles from on one which were like £20 pair including postage which have been fine so far but you pretty much get what you pay for. The leather's shit quality but at least they haven't slipped yet (touch wood), I guess they're just a bit better than singles. I'd spend the extra and go with the odges. Infact could anyone buy some and post them to me if I paypal them £35? In black if possible. PM me if you can. thanks

Are those ones one ebay any good?
-
• #20
Those On-One/Planet X doubles are shite! Crappy leather and really stretchy.
The Exustar ones I got one the bay are great. Really tight and strong, felt like my feet were really clipped in. Highly reccomended

I'll get the exhaustar ones then :). Are they these ones donut!?
-
• #22
aas long it's those strap that have a combination of leather and plastic it should be strong.

...not necessarily. a cheaper strap with a mylar layer can delaminate in a few months..

I think I have some Planet X cheap ones. They'd be fucked by now if I'd not cut a brace for them.
Any shitty straps are alright if they're held tight with a brace thingy.

so, the exustar ones are decent? that's good to know.
my somas suck. so stretched. Keith at Tour de ville showed me his 2 year old MKS alpha double straps and they were stiff as, Toshi seems to have the same rep but at £90 are £20 more than the Alphas.
Anyone using either or have used both or know a chepaer alternative? and mby cheaper I mean price, not perfomance.
