    horizontal dropouts.

no braze on on the bottom tube.nice and clean

the frame is 531 competition, which is lighter then standard 531.
    the forks are 531.

    57cm

    english threaded

  • Nice frame, remind me of one of the raliegh teams :) shame i may have been interested if it had been smaller

  • yeah, it's lovely.the photos don't do the paint job justice.it's lush

  • how do you know who built it out of interest? Beautiful frame, must get a proper job...

  • hi,
IVE JUST KNACKERED MY FRAME SIMILAR TO YOURS-
would you accept £100 ?, would you be able to post frame??
I LIVE IN LEICESTER, SO MAY BE ABLE TO MEET MAYBE??
    CHEER CARL

  • i bought it from a guy from wolverhampton who knows the guys at poyners and used to shop there., he's a collector and dealer and know his stuff.
he said that all the frames they had made were by bob jackson.
this happens alot, shops use a certain frame builder.mercian made frames for loads of people.

  • tokiacarl, i've pm'd you.i can post.if the pm's not come through pm me and i'll try and help you out

  • bump, come on people this is lovely.i'm open to sensible offers

  • does £120 sound better

  • still available. i don't know why.if anyone need photos with wheel on let me know.it's a fairly tight frame.

    27.2 seatpost.

  • dude, this is a sweeet frame - btw, OOrigin, thanks for the the bars, got em today nitto's a real real nice cond.

  • hmmm. i just bought a (really nice) witcomb off scrapper but i'd be saving on a paint job and headset if i went for this instead.

is it build for 27"s or 700c?
and do you know what the rear spacing is?

EDIT: y'know what i'm going to stick with the witcomb. much as i like this frame i think the blank canvas of the witcomb will suit my olde englishe style build better.

good luck with the sale. it is a lovely looking frame.

  • Indeed a lovely looking frame, that ticks most of my boxes.

I have the same questions as dooks, above:

is it build for 27"s or 700c?
and do you know what the rear spacing is?

    • but I don't have a nice Witcomb to fall back on, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the answers are the ones I'd like to hear. Also hoping pick-up in London is possible.
  • Good price that, Origin. Patience!

  • Also hoping pick-up in London is possible.

Gah, just noticed Origin is based in Sheffield, so London pick-up unlikely. But that's not a deal-breaker for me.

If you hadn't noticed already, I'm new here so can't PM for another 48 hours or so - but presumably can receive PMs from others.

  • yeh its a ncie bike

  • Wow... looks stunning.

Still, I'm amased at how little they sell for considering that modding and refurbing my 35 year old frame cost me the best part of £200!

  • hamd, are you still looking for a nice frame.i've got a nice mercian here that was built for ribble cycles.

looks stunning.give me a shout if your still in the hunt

  • hamd, i alos have a very nice Mercian frame that i am going to sell, bit busy at the moment, but will put pictures up of all the stuff i have to sell plus the frame. PM me if interested.

  • hamd, are you still looking for a nice frame.
