Although looks like a lot of people getting lost!
-
• #11
reminds me how much i don't miss having to wear a helmet and stopping at red lights. aus police are very very strict and you will get fined very quickly.
-
• #12
wish that happened here...we just have the TDU!

No real good shops here unfortunately. Spoke(n) on Carlisle st in St Kilda East aint bad, but they're right old grumpy c*nts.
Otherwise BSC is worth a look. http://www.bscbikes.com.au/bsc2/
Most of the fixed crews mostly have an online presence, Fyx and Shifter Bikes et al.
If it's geared you're after, The Freedom Machine gets my vote.

strange though, melbs should be pumping with all that shit, I'd expect it to be, it has one of the best bmx shops in the world!!

dan at shifterbikes has a 'shop' in Carlton. Mail him and ask nicely.
Fyx is just andys house but you can mail him and ask.
Fixed.org.au has a forum with classifieds. Should be able to get something nice.
Kenevans. Paconi and hillman are all nice old Aussie builders. -

5 stars 'generally' don't just pop up.. though there was a chick on aus.bicycle who found one..
I'm in Melb next weekend, any suggestions for bike shoppin'?
