GlasgowFGSS to Mont Ventoux

I thought I'd draw your attention to an outing planned by us at glasgowfgss.com.

More information about it can be found here but I'll summarise here.

Saturday 18th July

14:34 - Depart London St. Pancras
22:08 - Arrive Avignon TGV
Under 26 - £49.50 / Over 26 - £54.50

Tuesday 21st July

13:40 - Depart Avignon TGV
19:03 - Arrive London St Pancras
Under 26 - £49.50 / Over 26 - £54.50

Room - ~£45 for 3 nights

The direct train from London to Avignon only goes on a Saturday does it not? You also need to have your bike bagged up for this. This is also when the etape is on so the roads will be closed on the Monday for that. I'm going over then to do Ventoux but as part of the etape.

We're getting a train with a change. I've got a bike bag and I think I know some people who I can borrow bike bags from for the rest of the Glasgow people. We're probably going to do Ventoux on the Sunday because of the Etape on the monday. Any suggestions of other routes around avignon would be greatly appreciated.

the TVG website says you don't need to box or bag your bike, you just need to pay £10 and stay in the luggage van with it
