  • What is a good time for a 30 mile ride.

  • 10 minutes

  • Any time.

  • Any time.

Rubbish. 6.50am is better than any other.

  • i like to go after breakfast and a coffee.

  • Uphill or downhill?

  • 10 minutes

Sorry for being sarcastic, very juvenile of me.

I actually find 10am is a lovely time for a 30 mile ride

  • Wind?

  • Spring or autumn are very pleasant. I also like riding in winter as well as summer. Weekends are great as are weekdays.

  • i know it's slightly off-topic, but can anyone tell me the ideal length for a piece of string?

  • Whats best for a long ride fixed or gears

  • Fixed gears.

  • i know it's slightly off-topic, but can anyone tell me the ideal length for a piece of string?

Not too long, not too short. The ideal length of a piece of string is when it's just about right.

  • On a serious note: much less than two hours.

  • Not too long, not too short. The ideal length of a piece of string is when it's just about right.

    Lies.

  • But hippy... is a watermelon a vegetable? And is a tomatoe a fruit?

  • Not too long, not too short. The ideal length of a piece of string is when it's just about right.

Or twice the length of half a piece of string

  • Not too long, not too short. The ideal length of a piece of string is when it's just about right.

    Only if you're being greedy

  • Not too long, not too short. The ideal length of a piece of string is when it's just about right.

no, no... i need an exact answer, not "just about right". all the pieces of string i've purchased on eBay have been the wrong length. i'm also not sure if i need an english or italian thread. i thought this forum could help with this sort of thing?

  • On a serious note: much less than two hours.

How can a piece of string be less than two hours? Most are at least four.

  • I hear these are pretty good.
