Hippy likes the Surly one. I use a cheap small adjustable.

£2.99 spanner from Evans - are they called "box" spanners or something? 5 sizes on each end, one of which is the closed 15mm socket. Cant do pedals though...

^ They snap, at least they do in my manly arms. Grrrrrr. Russel would be proud.

Ha! Russell tightens his track nuts with his teeth.

good quality 15mm spanner, one end open, one end ring.
If it really must be light / low profile then cut off the end you don't want -

hipster. I stole a cog from you via moog (ed).
if you want a 16T DA or Condor lemme know. -

Doesn't have to be really lightweight, just not have too much footprint in my bag.
So there aren't any special, nice tools out there? Just shitty cheapy ones that hurt or the surly? Fair enough. Just wanted to check.

It might not answer your question but on the same theme, you should have covered this in your research

Bahco 6 inch adjustable will do eveything on my bike, quality tool, costs about 30 notes though, even has a rubber handle to protect your hands, always have mine with me whenever I am on my bike.

+1 for halfords professional (the only good thing they sell?)
It's still half price so definitely worth the cash!

halfords set is great for home, the park one is ok, but the ck one is about 60% of the weight but still long - get it from clerkenwell screws

Keep the receipt as Halfrauds offer a lifetime warantee on their pro range of tools.
Done some searching to no great effect, so sorry if this is covered elsewhere.
What's the best small spanner (for wheel bolts mainly but maybe other sizes) to keep in a portable tool kit or bag or whatever. My one hurts my hands, doesn't go tight enough with my puny arms and I'm fucked off with it.
Thanks!
