Is Spacehoppers the Answer?

  • My colleague wants to avoid getting the tube from london bridge to work, all bikes i have suggested are out of her price range.

she gets a train from lewisham to london bridge, so it has to be a folding bike, she isnt prepared to spend much money, she wont run as apparently that isnt the done thing so the only thing i can think of is a spacehopper.

the advantages are numerous but here are a few:
    1) you'll get there faster and in a more fun way than walking
    2) its really good excercise
    3) would gaurantee a seat on the train everyday.

    thought, better ideas?

this could be adopted permantly by forumenger who need to use public transport, take a spacehopper and a couple of c02 cartirdges, and you can even pack them down if you cant find a space to lock up your pride and joy

  • Pogo stick.

  • Seriously though. Some people just can't be made happy: Doesn't want public transport, won't run, won't spend the money to ride a bike. Sounds like she is SOL.

  • Suggest a cheaper bike

  • Hoops has the answer - Scooter.

Mind you Seargent & Co has a decent (looked shit but worked fine) ladies bike for £70 recently. What a bargain.

Where is work from London Bridge?

  • Buy a very cheap 2nd hand bike and leave locked at London Bridge.

  • Htfu

  • Move out of Lewisham, which is wise advice anyway, and live somewhere closer to work.
