I just got off the phone to Dammit's girlfriend. He appears to have had a collision with a car riding home from the party last night and is in hospital. Did anyone here ride back South East with him that can offer more information?

Just got a message from Charco to say that Neil (Dammit) has broken bones in his face so sounds pretty bad. Anyone else who finds out more, let us know.

Dammit was at joe's gammagoochie thing last night, saw him ride off with tricity at about one half one maybe, he seemed to be able to pilot his machine at that point.

Yeah I didn't want to post anything because I don't know much/didn't know if he'd want me to. All I can help with is - some moron driver drove into the back of him as we were leaving some lights on Denmark Hill, I called an ambulance, we went to hospital. But the scans and stuff were fine, he's just fractured his jaw in two places.

Glad he's not too bad and good job you were there to help.

Yeah the police came so they did all that stuff.

Thumbs up to the taxi driver who didn't actually see what happened but stuck around for ages to make sure Neil was OK.

I checked over the bike and I'm pretty sure it's fine - I don't think we were going that fast when the guy hit him, but he hit the ground chin first which is apparently not so good for jaws.

Nice meeting some new faces and I knew it was a good idea (for me) to stop at 4 pints. Felt rough in the evening but then again it serves me right for the 6 hour drinking session on Friday night ;o))

Bad news! It sounds as if everything was done right at the scene of the collision, now let's hope that Neil manages to heal up completely and quickly. It does sound like a totally avoidable and angrifying collision. Crap end to what sounds like a great day and night out.
