It's simple really. First, stop blaming 'Damn fucking 'Track Technology'' - it's not the bike's fault, it's your fault for not having the right tool for the job - then, buy the correct tool, and then, you know, maybe you might be able to remove it. Just a thought.

Just get a bit of the right size chain and switch it on your chain whip.
Miche sprockets can be treated just the same as regular ones, make sure you are removing/loosening the lockring first! - It seems you said your trying to loosen the lockring with the cranks, this wont work.

hehehe, should've known that would be the response, playing with the bike with a stinking hangover and the wrong tools was never the best of plans, eh. will see if i can borrow a chainwhip over the next few days and get the bugger off.
Arg!
anyone have any tips on removing these bastard things? only discovered it yesterday while trying to change the sprocket on my wheel (was 2nd hand and was already on there) unfortunately my lockring spanner has a 3/32 chain whip which is no help (when purchasing I figured it wasnt that important....i was obviously wrong) and have spent a good hour tying to get the fucker to budge by loosening the lock ring and using my cranks as leverage (if you see what i mean) but to no avail.
This is now pissing me off quite alot. Damn fucking 'Track Technology'.
