Condor have a good range of tubs.
Folding them in the old days was a case of making sure the cement sides were facing... I'd just fold it like it comes in the box.
I expect latex would make repair a messy job! No experience of it though, when I've used latex (not preventatively, but after puncturing) it has lasted for months.Keep them at high pressure to avoid punctures.

Cheers
Found this guide, and works a treat
http://picasaweb.google.com/DiabloScottsBikeBlog/FoldingATubularTire#I'll probably stay clear of the Pittstop then, and normally run at 8bar front/9bar back on the track. Should be sufficient ?

nosferatu rides miles on his tub
never seems to puncture, but i'm guessing a patch isn't going to work properly. -

save your tubulars for race day and if you wanted to train on clinchers that is good tho training tubwheels are lighter and no tape just in case they roll.. glue or shellac is faster.. good race clinchers are continental supersonic.. nice tyre..
Dugast are made to order and you cant warm up on them anyway at more than £100.00 a tyre would you want to ride them on the road to cut them up as they could be an indoor tyre .vitoria and conti do decent training tubulars below £20.00 -

thats if they are for track there are loads of good road tubs aswel

To be honest, I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has. Riding into walls to endo, then jumping down 3-sets = carbon tub wheel death. He's lucky the wheel didn't explode during one of his sideways skids between buses.

Visiting friends next weekend in London and bringing my track bike with me to do the Saturday session at Herne Hill. I'll be riding across London on tubs (Conti Sprinters) and worried (hopefully needlessly so) about puncturing. I'll bring an old tub and some tape in case the worst happens. Couple of questions :-
Best method for folding a tub so I can stow it under my Brooks with a toe strap ?
Anyone had experience with Vittoria Pit Stop ? I'd like to have a go at repairing a tub puncture at some point, would using this make the tub un-repairable ?
Which London bike shops have a good tub selection ? If the worst happens I might treat might myself to one of the new 320tpi Vittoria CX's
I run a sprinter up front and its fine. on the rear depends how heavy you are as well as what pressure you're running them at.
I would bring a new (not old!) tyre or two and some tape. tis hard to get tubs over the counter in london. And maybe take rik's number and grab those tubs off him.
pit stop and that sort of stuff wont make the tub unrepairable unless you use boatloads to fix a tear, in which case you'd need to replace the tube anyway.
if you use glue normally then glue the tub and when it's dry fold it so it's glued side in. put it in a bag (i use one of those plastic tool holders that fit in a bottle cage) - you don't need grime and grit on the surface. And tufo tape is superb imo, much easier and very strong if you use it properly. -

Conti Competition are awesome tubs I use the 19mm variety. Vittoria Corsa evos use latex liners, and have the be inflated daily.

Going to try gluing tonight, I taped the tubs with Velox/Jantex tape last year so they could probably do with with sticking down again anyway. I'd imagine it's easy to change a pre-glued spare by the roadside rather than fiddle around with tape as well.
It'll probably be an old tub I bring with me, don't have anything to pre-stretch a new one at the moment. I remember trying to get the Sprinters on initially to pre-stretch, was a nightmare !
What pressures would you recommend ? currently running 8bar front/9bar back and weigh 83kg

nothing less than 120 psi for me. I'd personally stick with tape - and if you can't roll the tyre off then leave it alone, it ought to be fine after 12 months. Pre-glue the tyre if you're paranoid but unless you've already got glue on the rim I'd use another layer of tape (leave the old one one) before refitting a new tub, esp if it's not pre-glued.
