Used leather jackets on eBay are supposed to be a pretty good source of thin, supple leather for Flites etc. Can't comment, haven't done one myself...

Upholstery stores usually have offcuts or even cheap leather jacket makers in brick lane area etc always have offcuts. I used to get them from a stall on spitalfields markets too... was £1 for a good sized piece last time I went.

Good shouts. Thanks.
Last time I used a leather jacket I found in my mums wardrobe!
Easy.My beautiful old Selle Italia, 'Mundialita' cloth saddle has been rubbed and ripped raw by my sand-paper crotch.I've bought some pimpin black/white polka dot cloth to re-cover it, but i'm hesitant...The part that needs covering seems to be glued down and i'm worried that I might screw up the whole saddle by ripping it off.Has anyone tried this before? Has anyone suceeded at this before?! Has anyone got any tips?
