  • I'd like some pinks tyres and the only ones I have found are the Dia Compe Gran Compe SS tyres. However they're insanely expensive and I have heard they're rubbish - buttery soft, one skid and they're worn through.
Anyone disagree with this or know of any other bright pink tyres?

  • yes rubbish. didn't soma have pink tyres a while back?

  • old schwalbe stelvio's

  • Stelvios are soft IMO

  • oh yeah, I vaguely remember having a drunken conversation about Soma'a last night... i'll have a look.
I would prefer them to be pink all over rather than have a black side wall like those Halos

  • soma's just have a pink stripe, less than the halos

  • Continental FTW. Ask hippy - he's their UK spokesperson. May do you a deal...

  • my mate blew out a white grand compe in a week, they're pretty shite and fucking stupidly pricey

  • Haha, we had this conversation last night. There soma everwear that your looking for hon. x

  • Emily, I think its your fault I don't remember
    ; )
Pink contis? That would be good!

  • Halo Twin Rail

^ Fucking shit. No grip in the wet. Skid Through 'em in a week.

    old schwalbe stelvio's

^Nice to ride on, but the walls are like paper.

    ^FTW!

  • go soma... better to have a pink wall and it stay pink... than a dirty purpley tread area after a week of riding...

  • Continental FTW. Ask hippy - he's their UK spokesperson. May do you a deal...

    I love Contis.

  • soma's arent cheap either. £35 each at BLB
Maybe I should get white vittoria zaffiros instead. Bloody hell, i cant decide

  • zaffiros aren't exactly great for skidding either J :-/

  • yeah, I guess not. Its not for the everyday bike though so I could probably get away with it

don't get the Vittoria from BLB, condor sell them cheaper at £15ish compare to BLB's £25.

they're decent, but like slamm said, they're not great for skidding.

hehe, that's why pretty much why I've got a pair on my GanWell

  • if you could find them in uk, maybe white randonneur 700x28

  • Bikes 14 I think will be stocking white Randonneur, Andy mentioned that here a while ago.

  • Not trying to Hijack the thread, but i've got new wheels coming soon which I want to put wider tyres on (32/35c)
What Tough and reasonably light 32/35c tyres would you guys recommend, i've got these in mind at the moment: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24539
Bear in mind that they will need to tolerate alot of abuse, I ride brakeless, drop off of stuff, wallride etc etc.

  • randonneur, but you'd want a 22+mm rim
