If you're not making an appointment right now, stop whatever the fuck you're doing and make an appointment. It is utterly foolish and medically reckless to leave it any longer. If you think it hurts now, I can assure you that not getting it sorted out will hurt much more. I may also cause impaction, which means having even more teeth taken out.
Once you've made an appointment, reward yourself with painkillers.

Trying to make an appointment, dentists in my area are saying they have a 1 or 2 month waiting list! Currently waiting for the Surrey Dental Helpline to call me back and arrange an emergency appointment.

Panacodiene!
Get it over the counter at a pharmacy, mix with neurofen and all your problems are over.

Wash down with Captain Morgan.

I find taking half a packet of paracetamol and putting an entire tube of Bonjela on the pain usually does the trick
I'm not saying this is good advice, but it works.

Treat the cause, not the symptoms you fools.

Honestly the best thing is to get a sup of whiskey and rub/swill it around the area, does the trick everytime, my parents always gave me that when I had a toothache as a kid (feckin' Irish for you, wasn't even whiskey, poteen!!) ;)

Panacodeine sounds good! The helpline has got me an appointment at 12:00 so I'm leaving work early to visit a dentist. I'll see if they recommend the bitch urine and slug method, I'm a big fan of these folk remedies, having cured Morris Dancing injuries with huge amounts of real ale for years.

Yes, toothache is the worst fucking pain I have ever experienced.
Forgotten how bad it is, but half a bottle of Whisky and a sleepless night later, I am in fucking agony.
The dentist had best see me this morning :( -

No can't say I have had that.
2 broken arms, broken scathoid, dislocated shoulder x 2 are all a walk in the park compared to this fucker -

Jesus, a fracture of the whole skull, now that does indeed look painful

I have two that need extracting as they are growing forward and pushing all my lower teeth forward. It is sometimes very uncomfortable. I have been meaning to do it for over 6 months, but I know that I will have to take unpaid time off work as the dentist said I will not be able to speak easily for a week. Also she said that she couldn't do both at the same time as it is too much.
Every time I have holiday I don't do it cause I don't want to spend my holiday in pain.
I know it is stupid, but I can't stop procrastinating over it.
If there was ever a HTFU moment it is now. -

past two mornings have woken up with painful jaw, like it's been clenched in one position all night, and it hurts to move it out of position - this morning,. same but accompanied by excruciating toothache in back molar and region - made appt with dentist - fuuuuuuuuuuckkkkk
I really hate going to dentists. Anyone recommend me a good self hypnosis CD?!

I have fallen asleep at the dentist's. I find it relaxing to just lie there.
You might want to ask someone for some Diazepam. Helped a friend who dreaded dentists.

dentist said there is nothing wrong with my rear molar - fucking weird - phantom toothache - I now actually thing it's jaw clench - probably sleep/stress related (had fitful sleep after Friday's survival refresher, as was trapped upside down at one point after releasing buckle too early)
Hurts whatever it is
I'm in so much pain at the moment. My wisdom teeth that have sat under my gums giving me occasionl trouble over the years are now giving me pain up the right side of my face. I'm not a big fan of the dentist (I know, I know, I should HTFU) but I'm now thinking it might be time to have them taken out.
owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
