If the ride arrives early enough it's well worth taking a look around the museum.

Turing was one of my heroes. Great ride, always wanted to go to Betchley. Count me in too

I see the route goes past my road. Nice one

I can change it to a different route if you like, just so you have to trek across London first.
-
• #11
I've added a start time. It's early but I weant to make sure there's enough time to enjoy the ride back too.

Personally I'd missout Leighton Buzzard (shithole), and cut across country missing out A421 too.

I can give you the password to my bikely if you want to make some adjustments.
I still need to do a dry run so the route may change anyway but any advice is appreciated. -

I'm not going to be giving you a maths quiz on the way Scott.
Actually. Maybe I will.
Here's the deal, I love cycling and I love Maths.
What better to celebrate these things by riding to Bletchley, the work place of the best known logician and cryptanalaist. That's right I'm talking about mr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Turing.
An avid cyclist and the original hipster (Apple's logo is documented as being a tribute to the half eating apple which lay next to turing as he died of cyanide poising).
The date for this event will be June 20th, the Saturday before Turings Birthday.
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/264977
.Starting point, EAST BEERS (Royal Inn on the Park, Lauriston road) Meet at 7.30am.
We will be leaving at 0800 Hours sharp. And I mean sharp like a scalpel.
It's likely to be a faster paced ride as I'll be using it as training for the Dunwich, no doubt reversing the route and riding back. For those who do not want to ride back there is a train station in Bletchley and Milton Keynes is only 4.5 miles away.
I'm going to make my mind up on the bike closer to the time but it's possible that I may be doing this geared (Just a warning).
List.

ATTENTION:
For those interested in a slower paced ride I'll be looking to do a a similar length ride the following weekend (June 27th), just to stretch the legs out. Nice and leasurely paced.
Details will follow when I've thought of a route
