I heard from a few on this forum that they're not bad for the money. If your not building the wheels yourself I think it's pretty hard to get a wheelset for less than £150. Dont think the on one wheels are back in for a while also.

I have for sale a set of Mavic CXP22s laced to Formula hubs with double-butted spokes.
100mm front, 120mm rear, both 36-spoke, both laced 3-cross.
Perfectly true, excellent condition, £90.

Should be relatively straightforward to achieve this.
Rims £40, e.g. Ambrosio Excursion
Hubs £40 e.g. Formula
Spokes & rim tape £20Makes £100 and you'll have a nice and solid wheelset. All you need to do is find someone to build them up for you, either for beer, or £20 professionally to hit your budget. A mate had some built up at a LBS for £25, so I don't think this is unrealistic.
Good luck!

buy a good quality rear for the time being
and get some old cheap beater front
upgrade the front at some stage in the near future
hey presto spare front ready for the next build -

I can only recommend Superprecise's choice of components. I built a wheelset exactly like it last year. If you are looking for a budget wheelset buy those components (from SJS Cycles for example) and ask someone from the forum to build it for you. I would do it for beer. There are also lots of other wheelbuilders about.

Heh bought a pair of them the other day beef, they look nice and are well tensioned and true... Once i get some tyres on them will let you know how they get on.
Just a quick question,
i am on a serious budget after doing some over spending on various things !
would this wheelset be really really shit?
