think of the money you will save if you give up weed. save up £1k and then start smoking again.

Then don't get caught.

I dunno why they don't just legalise it and tax it, like they do with cigarettes or booze.
-

Or at least don't spark up where you're likely to get caught.

did you offer them a toke?

Daily Mail style reports that it makes you a violent lunatic. As always, such political arguments are always far easier when you win over the right wing press.
The logical approach is irrelevant in opposition to a lowest common denominator.

That's as maybe, but on a bench in a narrow public area beside the river is hardly the wisest place.

so i got up ......................d, but i have to say i am very concerned about getting caught again. £1k is more money than ive ever had, so would be very difficult for me to find.
Then don't get caught.
i want to say +1
but I am sure there is a bit of this that i am maybe missing, sorry.

+1 either smoke at home, or where you have a very good view.
by the way...if they were far enough away that you could have got on and ridden off, wasn't there time to stubb it out before they got to you?

yeah, im not trying to gain any sympathy. i shouldnt have smoked there in the middle of the day, but i just didnt really think about it at the time. i think was pretty unlucky this time. they had already seen me smoking it, but i did sort of stick it in my back pocket.
i dont even smoke much weed, it would take me a couple of years before it would total 1k saving.
so i got up early and did my daily 30mile ride, in absolutly lovely weather feeling incredably smug. when i was nearing home i noticed somthing was wrong with my bike, making a wierd noise and wobbling. i got off and discovered the bracket holding my rear sks mudguard had snapped. i decided to smoke a joint i hadnt finished earlyer and ponder over how to fix the problem.
i was only a little way from home on a river side with some benches, i pass along and smoke up at most days.
i was busy looking at my bike, and out of nowhere two coppers on bikes are flying towards me. they were far enough away i could have got on and ridden off, and i fancy my chances at being alot faster than they are, but i thought it was a bad idea.
turns out weed is class B now, and i have to pay an £80 fine as its my second offence. if i get caught again i have to pay £1000. thats shocking. the coppers bikes were smith and weston MTB and looked really crap and as equally uncool as thier lame uniforms. they were alright with me though and were quite good blokes really, which is always the case for me whenever ive been in trouble. doesnt help you get off though even if its a fairly friendly exchange sadly.
im probably still going to smoke weed, but i have to say i am very concerned about getting caught again. £1k is more money than ive ever had, so would be very difficult for me to find.
