  • Anyone manage to get any?
Will you be flogging them on the bay for 2k or will you actually go and see what will undoubtedly be the most killin' band ever assembled?

I didn't want to go and see a paedo anyway :(

  • It would be tempting to win an auction and then try and get the tickets sent to Nigeria.

  • i was at the o2 yesterday and saw about 200 people camping out for tickets

  • Oh, ticketmaster is cunts btw

  • i've never seen jackson with a 'killer' band yet, that boy lost the funk years ago :(

  • sadly true. i would love to have seen him around when thriller came out. it just wouldn't be the same now

  • friend at work got tickets, face values like £75/£85 quid, saw people putting up tickets on the bay for £300-£400, if you want that VIP hospitality bollocks, people where selling them on the bay for like £5-7K

  • I've got a feeling he'll be mumbling bollocks and miming the songs anyway

just watch motown 25, that's the best 10-15 mins i've ever seen

    just before he went insane

  • My brother had the presale code but the checkout system got all sluggish and tickets were reallocated and finished before it fully submitted.

I personally cannot see how he is physically and pyschologically up to doing so many shows. It was only last year I think his managment said that he would never perform again, simply because he couldnt.

He is a pretty old (and crazy) dude now, can he really do stadium shows for half a year solid?

  • They'll dope him up like Elvis and attach electrodes to his testicles to make him dance.

  • They'll dope him up like Elvis and attach electrodes to his testicles to make him dance.

    I'd pay to see that!

  • what a bunch of miserable gits you all are! I'd love to go but unfortunately I can't afford and can't be arsed with all the booking chaos.

It'd be an absolutely banging night out! I for one wouldn't be the guy sat at the side with a clipboard taking notes on the quality of the band or the degree to which he has retained 'the funk'. I'd be rocking out.

  • I also would love to go - if only to sing along to Billie Jean.
    Damn.

  • SuperP

there's nothing worse than seeing your idols, old, slow and incomprehensible. Thats why I chose to never see my personal musical hero James Brown perform over here when he was still doing it. I wanted to remember the mustacheoed, militant, afro having, dancing machine, that spawned Michael Jackson and Prince. Not an old man cutting a rug because he knew how to do nothing else.

I'd rather see the new musical idols in their prime, than my old musical idols past their's

Now don't get me wrong Michael Jackson could pull it out of the bag, and perform some amazing shows, but I think most will be there to see him fall on his old arse.

ps (this isn't a dig, but an observation), but if you really wanted to see him, you'd find the money and wait impatiently on the phone for tickets....

  • @Superprecise

He'll be ill and you'll be 'rocking out' to Lemar in an Jacko mask

  • Corny, I completely get what you're saying. I was just being optimistic! I can't bare the thought that everyone is just waiting for him to fuck up again (or for his hair to ignite!).

Agreed, I'm not all that desperate as it goes, but I do love the music.

  • I can't bare the thought that everyone is just waiting for him to fuck up again (or for his hair to ignite!).

When the unstoppable force (Jackson's craziness) is on collision course with the immovable object (also Jackson's craziness), there isn't much you can do but stand well back and watch.

  • what a bunch of miserable gits you all are!

i wasn't trying to miserable, just factual.
    +1 to what corny said

  • I wanted to go just to watch his face fall off on stage

  • He is a pretty old (and crazy) dude now, can he really do stadium shows for half a year solid?

Why not? - Mick Jagger aged 64.....

  • I tried to get tickets for the first couple of shows, just because.
but once those sold out I didn't think it was worth it I can't see him surviving the first week

  • you cannot deny that Michael Jackson was Superb in his day, just watching his videos is amazing.
