Apologies for resurrecting a dead thread, but I appear to be having similar problems on my Bianchi i.e. a rattling that sounds like its coming from the crank/bottom bracket or rear hub. It becomes more pronounced the faster I go.
I dont think it is the chainring bolts... I did contemplate the possibility that it may be the coming apocalypse, but also decided that this wasn't the cause.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Try tightening some things that look like they need tightening and some things that don't look like they need tightening but actually do.

My right foot started rattling NO JOKE! What do I do?
-
• #18
use your left.
I had an odd one last night on the way back from Souths. My left pedal made an odd noise and felt a bit wrong. Turned out the allen bolt holding the flat bit to the skeleton bit (proper techinal words there) had come out, and it was only my power grips keeping it on.
Time to go SPD I think. If I can get the pedals off my cranks.

Can I just mention the stupid little ring that holds your valve in place. I bet these people never tried that.
Now its autumn they're probably using the bus again.
OK
on rattling:
The pivoting barrel-shaped braces that hold the cable ends in my brake levers are rattly. Anyone ever found a solution to this?
Hippy and I have discussed this before - can't remember if you ever found a way to stop it, hippy?

Hi,
Over the last week or so I have begun to notice a rattle on my Fuji Track 08 which sounds like its coming from the crank/bottom bracket or rear hub. It has been getting progressively worse and I can't seem to locate the cause. Everything that could possibly come loose seems tight.
The rattle is evident through normal riding and throughout the full rotation of the cranks.
I was wondering if anyone knew where this rattle could be coming from!?
