Interested in the bike as a single speed conversion, can anyone give me any info? I'm a first timer, coming from the geared side...
Cheers :)

mc_nebula, to create a single speed version of this bike would be very easy.
You'd need to strip the gears off (obviously), then remove the geared cassette, buy a single speed conversion kit [think they cost about £15 or so] then slot this onto the rear wheel, buy a 1/8 or 3/32 chain and you'd be away.Correct me if im wrong anyone.

Sorry can't pm you as I am a new user where are you based.

Its not worth the hassle to post it to be honest. Would cost more than it is worth.
Weighs quite a bit too, so i would imagine postage would be pricey.Based in Elephant & Castle London, as it says at the top of the post ;)
Might be cheaper to pick it up via train...? -

no problem, i just got one from him too ;)
Evening all.
I have just purchased a rather nice frame for a vintage build i am working on and need to claw back some cash from stuff i have sitting around my house that is not being used. I live in Elephant & Castle, PM me if you want to pop over and see anything. Id prefer not to ship, but will do so at cost (no shipping on free items, collection only).
So the following is for sale: (to make this post less photo heavy i have linked all the photos to Flickr - all photos are available to see here)
Most stuff has gone now, not going to out on eBay for awhile as im short on time, so get in touch if you want any of the below as i'll more than likely have it still...
** Campagnolo cable guide = £10**
Never used, nice vintage piece.

**
Campagnolo down tube shifters = £9**
These come with all that you see in the picture. This is how i got them, and they have never been used by myself. Braze-on. Friction-only. Will work with double or triple front chainsets, and with as many or few speeds in the rear as you want to run.

Drop bars = £5**

I don't mind dibs, but if you are going to dib something please follow it up with a PM. Thanks.
